IRIDA: The first aquafeed company in Greece to achieve ASC Feed Standard certification

With a strong sense of responsibility and professional integrity, we proudly announce the certification of both our fish feed factories under the ASC Feed Standard, making them the first aquafeeds facilities in Greece to achieve this important distinction.

The ASC Feed Standard sets the highest global benchmarks for sustainable, ethical, and transparent aquaculture. Its core principles — responsible sourcing, environmental stewardship, respect for human rights, and full traceability across supply chain — are values we fully embrace. Our certification reflects not only compliance but genuine alignment with these principles. Like the ASC, we believe that aquaculture can and must grow responsibly — protecting ecosystems, empowering communities, and securing a sustainable food future.

Collaborative efforts for a sustainable future

We believe meaningful progress happens through collaboration. Beyond the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), we work with respected organizations and NGOs—MarinTrust, IFFO, the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership (SFP), and the Global Seafood Alliance (GSA)—who, together with us, participated few days ago in the Athens International Workshop “From Traceable Raw Materials to Certified Fish Feeds,” organized by HAPO. We are committed to science-based improvements, partnering with institutions that advance measurable impact, transparency, and integrity. Our new ASC certification is not the destination but a significant milestone on this shared path—a proof point that the work continues and that, together, we will keep steering aquaculture toward ever more sustainable and responsible practices.

Supplying the network of ASC-certified aquaculture producers, with our ASC-certified feeds, we align raw materials and farming practices as part of a concrete and sustainable chain. Together we enhance transparency, integrity, and accountability — building consumer trust.
